Sunshine State Eggfest Ceramic Iron Chef Competition 2010 
 
            The Green Turtle Market has graciously offered to be the official Sponsor of the Ceramic Iron Chef Competition.   We certify that the only person who will know the ingredients of the mystery baskets will be Executive Chef, Ercan  Ekinci, from the Green Turtle Market.  The Green Turtle is conveniently located less than two miles from the Hotels, and is the official "Recommended Market" for your shopping needs.
 
 
         Registration sign up deadline is February 15, 2010 
           Participants will be notified on February 16 to allow for adequate planning.

  •             RULES:
  •             •        Chefs will have 30 minutes from opening the mystery ingredients to cook, plate and present to the judges.

     

    •        Each Chef will be provided with a mystery basket, containing 5 ingredients.  All 5 items must appear on the final plate.

     

    •        Participants may bring any additional items of their choice.  However, no items can be prepped or pre-cooked.

     

    •        Chefs must supply all utensils, equipment and seasonings to complete their cook.

     

    •        Chefs will be required to load and light their own Egg 45 minutes prior to the start of the competition.  During this time the cooks will be allowed to setup their work stations only. 

     

    •        Judges will be independent parties, with no affiliation to the Sunshine State Eggfest, competitors or The Big Green Egg.

     

    •        Judging will be on a scale of 1 to 10 in the following categories:  Presentation, Taste, and Originality.

     

    •        The Ceramic Iron Chef will be announced at the end of the door prize drawings.  

     

    •        It is absolutely mandatory that everybody has fun!!

     

    •        Note:  The Ceramic Iron Chef Competition will consist of no more than 5 teams.  Each team will consist of a Chef, and up to 2 Sous Chefs (assistants) selected by the Chef.  If more than 5 competitors sign up for this event, the participants will be selected using a random drawing. 

     

    •        The Sunshine State Eggfest will assist with special needs for contestants that are flying in, i.e. cutting boards, etc. Please E-Mail Michelle at littlechef@bubbatim.com for any needs or questions.
