Welcome EggHeads
This will be the 8th annual Eggfest in the State of Florida. This event will take place under the beautiful setting of the Host Hotel, Crowne Plaza Resort. With so many additional attractions in the area, the Sunshine State Eggfest will have so much more to offer.
For the first time ever, the Sunshine State Eggfest will be held at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean on the Florida Space Coast. Also, for the first time ever, the Eggfest will be held at the host hotel. Eggs will surround the perimeter of the covered deck of overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
There are five member hotels of the Melbourne Beach Hotel Association. These Hotels are all ocean front properties, and all are recommended lodging choices. With so much more to do this can truly be an Eggfest and vacation to be remembered.

There will be no credit cards accepted at the Event. Only cash or checks will be accepted. There will be limit of 400 tickets available for the Sunshine State Eggfest.

Activities:
Begin your Sunshine State Eggfest experience with the Meet & Greet! This event will be catered by the Crowne Plaza Resort Friday evening. Join fellow EggHeads in the banquet room for heavy Hors d'oeuvres and mingle and meet new friends. At the conclusion of the Meet & Greet, the Crowne Plaza has invited us to the Tiki Bar on the deck, where you can enjoy live music and fresh air.
On Saturday morning, start your day off with the traditional lighting of the Eggs! This will take place at 9am on the covered deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Walk around throughout the day and experience wonderful egg food. Feel free to talk to the cooks and discuss recipes and techniques.
There will be a Ceramic Iron Chef Competition in the afternoon and various demonstrations throughout the day. We will have an Egg setup class for beginners, cheese smoking techniques, and more. Please see the schedule of events for details. Door prizes will awarded by a drawing for registered cooks, and the crowning of the first Sunshine State Eggfest Ceramic Iron Chef! This is an event not to be missed!

· Friday, March 12th 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Meet & Greet and registration
· Saturday, March 13th 7:00AM - 4:00 PM
· 8:00 AM: Cooks Sign in and setup
· 9:00 AM: Tasters sign in
· 9:00 AM: Let the Eggfest Begin! The Sunshine State Eggfest begins with the traditional "Lighting of the Eggs". Food will be available all day. Just wander from egg to egg to sample foods and discuss recipes and techniques with the cooks.
· 9:30 AM: Big Green Egg 101 Demo
· 10:15 AM: Direct grilling Demo
· 11:00 AM: Indirect grilling Spatchcock Chicken Demo
· 1:00 PM: Ceramic Iron Chef Set up
· 2:00 PM: The 2010 Sunshine State Eggfest, Ceramic Iron Chef Begins
· 2:30 PM: Ceramic Iron Chef: Turn-in and Judging begins
· 3:00 PM: We will begin shutting down the demo eggs to allow for sufficient cooling time
· 3:30 PM: Door prize drawing for cooks begins & Announcement of Iron Chef Competition.

Demo Eggs:
Big Green Eggs are available for purchase at discounted prices for registered attendees of the Sunshine State Eggfest. Pre-order your Egg package at time of registration. Demo Egg must be prepaid before the Sunshine State Eggfest through T & D Patio & Pool.
