BBQ Spice Cookies - Team - GRILLDAD KREW

Barbecue Spice Cookies
2-1/4 cups AP flour
1-1/2 Tsp Baking soda
2 Tsp ground ginger
1-1/4 Tsp ground cinnamon
2 Tsp Ginger
1/4 Tsp nutmeg
1/4 Tsp salt
1-1/2 sticks butter, softened to room temperature
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup Favorite BBQ Sauce (We used Sunnys Sweet)
1 egg
2 Tsp pure vanilla extract
1/3 cup granulated sugar
Whisk Flour, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Ginger,Nutmeg and Salt - Set aside
Mix Brown Sugar and butter until creamy - Add BBQ Sauce and mix until blended - Add Vanilla and Egg - Mix on high until blended - Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Dough is sticky, roll into ball and wrap tightly with saran wrap
Refrigerate for 1 hour or up to 24 hours - if more than 1 hour let dough sit for 20-30 minutes to come to room temp - Roll about a Tablespoon of 
dough in the granulated sugar and place on cookie sheet about 2-3 inches apart (recommend parchment paper) -  Press down slightly on each cookie  Bake at 340 degrees (F) on the grill indirect for approximately 15-20 minutes until the bottoms are slightly brown.
The tops will look under-cooked but once you take them out and they start to cool this will keep them soft for up to a week. Enjoy!
