Tampa Cuban Sandwiches Gone Wild!! The Queen Of Green Team


  • 1 loaf of Cuban bread (Traditional), French or Italian can be substituted
  • Cheese of your choice, Swiss (Traditional), Pepper Jack, Havarti, Provolone, or Cheddar
  • Mustard (Traditional), Mango Cilantro Mustard,
  • Sliced dill pickles (Traditional), Bread and butter pickles, banana peppers or pickled jalapenos
  • Roast Pork (Traditional)- Smoked pork shoulder, pulled and slightly sauced, sliced pork loin
  • Sliced Ham (Traditional)- Double smoked Half Ham, Honey Ham,
  • Butter Instructions
  1. Prepare Big Green Egg for Direct cooking at 350°F
  2. Preheat a Cast iron Griddle and a 12 inch Cast iron Skillet
  3. Assemble sandwiches with sauce first, cheese, pickles, meat, more cheese and more sauce.
  4. Butter the outsides of the bread.
  5. Place sandwich on griddle and top with Cast iron Skillet.
  6. Grill until bottom crust is crispy about 5 – 7 minutes. Flip sandwich over and grill the other side on the hot griddle until browned and crispy.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting so cheese not burn mouths and the cheese will stay inside the sandwich.
